Full-Time Six-Week Intensive

The Ward Studio intensive is taught exclusively by teachers who were trained in the Meisner work themselves and have gone on to become master teachers in their specific disciplines. The result is cohesive training where students can focus on making specific improvements to their acting without having to adapt to different theories with every classroom they enter.

We emphasize a bold and no-nonsense approach to artistic growth and encourage students to become active participants in their development.

In-class drill work with master teachers is balanced with outside rehearsals with acting class peers. This cycle of working in the classroom and then going back to the drawing board is an important element of how we train, and ample time is left in the schedule for students to fulfill their homework obligations. This structure helps our graduates take more responsibility for their performances, auditions, rehearsals and the challenging work of establishing a career.
