Performance Studio

The Best Teacher is Experience... Lots of Experience!

Available to students participating in our Part-time Acting Program and graduates of the Six-Week Intensive, our robust Performance Studio continually tests and improves actors' skills and is one of the reasons our graduates keep coming back for more. Averaging twelve productions a year, we provide an abundance of performance opportunities for students to move their classroom experience to the stage.

The Studio is for both the beginning actor who has never performed before AND for the experienced performer who is wanting to revive the strong Meisner skills or acquire new ones. We'll work with you at whatever level you are at to strengthen your stage presence, emotional preparedness, artistry, ability to handle sophisticated text, and successfully execute character/physical adjustments.

For those of you interested in the ensemble experience, our Company Program is a one of a kind among studios in New York City. Reserved for our finest actors, the Company Program offers actors the opportunity to become collaborators in the creation of original work and run the production through a longer season of three-to-four months of performances.

In its first season, the Ward Studio Company attracted reviewers from major NY periodicals and received nominations for Outstanding Acting from New York Innovative Theater Awards.
