Part-Time Acting Program
The Ward Studio's Acting program is offered on a part-time basis and is sensitive to the time and financial constraints of actors living in the New York area. Our part-time classes adhere to the same high standards required by our Six-Week full-time program, but allow students to participate without having to commit on a full-time basis.
The acting courses provide clear processes for increasing authenticity, as the actor connects in a meaningful way to himself, to his acting partner, to the text, to the imagination and to the circumstances of the play.
Part-time students may opt to take one of the courses shown below or to participate in any of the courses included in the Full-Time program (see Course Descriptions), to the degree that space is available. To enroll in our program, students must complete an in-person or telephone interview with studio staff.
Meisner Technique Training (schedule)
Our Meisner Program is divided into three segments, Tech I, II and III. For each level of the training, classes meet twice a week for 10-12 weeks at a time. Students interested in a faster pace should contact the studio about joining our intensive Meisner training program.
